"We know that we'd like to be helped if we're in trouble, so we'll help others too." I don't know about Ten, but I had a discussion with a born again, oh, must have been more than 20 years ago now. Any way, he just couldn't understand why people who didn't believe in God just didn't go around raping, stealing and killing. In his particular case, I was very glad he had his religion if that is all that stood between him and those actions. In his case, apparently even his religion wasn't enough, since he became very active in office politics. Now office politics in a teaching hospital is for several reasons some of the most brutal backstabbing, character assassination and guilt by innuendo that you will ever see. So apparently there are at least some who see God as the only source of moral and ethical behavior. If you don't believe in God, you can't strongly believe in behaving ethically or morally. Again, I don't know if Ten subscribes to this or not, but I do know there are some who do.
