She got her real leg out of the ice. Her leg went through the ice to her thigh.....................we helped her and she was able to pull her leg out................we all quickly skated to shore. SHe fell through the ice at a spot that looked like a wave had frozen. We were skating over it cause it was a novelty out on the lake. Most of the time the lake's ice was covered with snow................this was one time the ice was fairly clear. Lake Champlain is quite large and deeper than S(&^. It was used as a channel through many colonial wars...............it's full of history.
