I agree with that.

Of course we can't do without emotion. Surely you didn't infer that I wanted to eliminate emotion.

(The common reaction called black-and-white thinking is triggered by emotionalism, I suspect, in many or most cases. I conclude that mostly because the alternative explanation is abject stupidity, which may apply in some cases but couldn't possibly be as widespread as is black-and-white thinking. <g>)

(I said "emotional" in my original post on the subject. "Emotionalist" or "-istic" would have been the more precise word. I corrected it in my follow-up post.)
