Bush has been lucky to have relatively good economic times. Not sure how much he has helped. Perhaps the tax cuts and defense spending have stimulated economic growth.

But he certainly hasn't done much to help insulate us from oil shocks and the looming energy crisis. The energy bill he just signed was a meager effort at tackling the energy problems this country faces. We should be spending far far more money on efficiency, conservation and alternatives if we were serious about protecting our citizens and economy. Also, immigration has been a sore spot under Bush. How many illegals have crossed the border since he became President? He's hardly done anything in that regard. Also, he's presided over the exodus of our high tech industry to Asia. Not something to hang your hat on.

Oh, we could certainly do better than an elitist Republican like Bush who looks out for his own kind. What do they care where these policies lead us? They, like you, are are taken care of. It makes no difference to them.
