Like I said, he's a scumball politician, probably the worst Governor in New Jersey in my lifetime. I don't have a high opinion of him at all. But, the guy was smart enough to manipulate the system in such a way as to not get directly implicated in any illegal activity. I live here, I know what went down when he was Governor. He actually borrowed $2 Billion dollars to balance the budget even though that is explicitly illegal under New Jersey's constitution and there was no historical precedent for such a financial gimmick. The court allowed it for one year and said no more. McGreevey was everything that is wrong with politics, up until his last day when he bowed out under pressure from his former male lover. But, he did not break any laws. You really think the Republicans in this state would just let him walk if he actually broke laws?!?
