can we now say Weldon was not doing this to push his book?

Weldon has served on congressional military committees for most of his 18 year career, i expect he was the only person who would listen to these guys and took it forward. Weldon was talking about this a couple of years ago but i expect these guys wouldn't identify themselves and he got nowhere.
