Did you see the article that JF posted on housing value increases for the latest quarter? The only city in NY state besides NYC to show an increase was Albany. Buffalo, Syracuse and Rochester showed a decline......Utica was at 0. I find it astounding.......the median for NYC is near $500K and in Syracuse its around $100K.....Albany, its at $178K......even that's a huge gap from Syracuse, Rochester et al. None of the upstate cities [with the possible exception of Albany] seem to be capitalizing on their unique offerings. Its amazing to me that the people who live there are so willing to accept the situation as it is.
