JF, We should all share the sacrifice. Even chickenhawk Ten, though he doesn't want to and doesn't think he should have to.

Hey Uncle John, so what did you do to "share the sacrifice" of the wars you supported?

If the war in Iraq is worth fighting - if it's a noble venture, as the hawks insist it is - then it's worth fighting with the children of the privileged classes. They should be added to the combat mix. If it's not worth their blood, then we should bring the other troops home.

War are such a significant sacrifice that there should be an immediate draft, with 50% of the troops being inducted rather than career military. There should also be a real time tax to pay the cost.

We should all share the sacrifice. Even chickenhawk Ten, though he doesn't want to and doesn't think he should have to.

I agree. Its outrageous that the lower and lower middle classes are paying the price when it was the elite in this country who decided to go to war.
