Good of God to create this situation so that these innocent children should be boiled like lobsters and eaten up by their mommas. 6:28 And the king said unto her, What aileth thee? And she answered, This woman said unto me, Give thy son, that we may eat him to day, and we will eat my son tomorrow. 6:29 So we boiled my son, and did eat him: and I said unto her on the next day, Give thy son, that we may eat him: and she hath hid her son. Now atheists point to these and similar passages of cannibalism and cooking children for food, as evidence that the bible was written by primitive people in primitive times and reflected the purported principles of what we can only describe as a brutal and primitive "God". But how do they know? In ancient times, "boiling" children simply meant sending them out to play in the desert where the sun was frightfully hot and actually singed the skin. "Eat them" was a colloquialism meaning to pick their brains and to listen attentively. We have a similar saying when we speak of "drinking" in a loved ones words--or even drinking in their eyes. In those days of starvation which the LORD had justly caused out of His infinite wisdom and Mercy, it was of the utmost importance that the children forage for cactus and snakes in the boiling desert and that the mother "drink" in all the wonderful recounting of where food and water was available. In other words they would "eat" the words of their children. Of course, the Hebrew were economical with words so they spoke of this eating as a metaphor for food--as in our modern day meaning of "food for thought". You notice how the atheist immediately ascribes cannibalism to these and many other verses. The atheist is simply uninformed as to the ancient idioms. The verses say they were starving and that they boiled their children and ate them once their flesh was cooked very tender and seasoned--says the atheist. This is the very same atheist who scoffs at the fact that God created the world in 7 days. THey say smugly that the earth and the universe are of different ages. They say the earth is 4.6 billion years old and the universe 15 billion years old. What do they think God was doing for 45 billion years?!! They have no answer!! Bless Jesus! The atheist is refuted once again! EeekBaptist
