Don't you find Fig 2 beautiful? BTW, if you look at Fig 2 for a while you will come to understand why talking about missing links in fossils is silly. Imagine that is a plot of human evolution, the thin blue line traces the actual human linage. The things significantly off that line are like different species, particularly the ones that branch off in distinctly isolated "flames". Note also how close the actual line came to going extinct a number of times, that is the blue line touches the boundary of available genomes. Yes, I call that beautiful, not just for how it looks, but what one can understand by studying it.

First, I never even saw the blue line until you mentioned it. Secondly, when I want beautiful, give me a sunset on a day the air is badly polluted! <g>
