"Government in the US is bigger, spends more, and regulates more than it did just a few years ago"

BS. Tim, what is your connection with reality? Or does this revolve around some specious definition of "a few years ago"?

Its been socialized in the same way as Fox News has been liberalized.

Your not making a lot of sense. Government in the US is bigger, spends more, and regulates more than it did just a few years ago. The trend has continued since at least The New Deal, and probably more like since the Civil War.

Socialism isn't big gov't or lots of pork.....in spite of the fact, that's how you see it. Instead, its a system of gov't that allocates its natural resources among its citizens in a particular way. If socialism were a spot on the far right of a horizontal line and capitalism a spot on the far left, the US is usually placed about two notches in from the left. In other words, we are one of least the socialistic nations in the world. Hence, my comment that we need more socialism in this country.

Or are you trying to assert that Fox is liberal? I doubt it, but if so I'd have to disagree.

No, just the opposite.

Who makes the tradeoffs needs to be determined by the society in general and not by the wealthy.

So society in general determines what to do with private property.

No, I am saying who should determine what the tradeoffs will be. You think it should be the wealthy because they own most of the property. I am saying it should be the entire society because if left to the wealthy, most people will get screwed.

I knew you where liberal but I didn't know you where a full fledged socialist.

A few more years of Bush and I will be.
