The truth about Reagan's Alzheimer's was much worse than the rumors. Denial - denial - denial. It's so easy to see Bush's mental deterioration when you compare his campaign footage in 2000 with his stumbling press conference when he couldn't answer a simple, philosophical question. It's gotten worse since then. His speeches have now plummeted to grade school level and he's still stumbling through them. Has Cheney ever proven that he can govern his way out of a paperbag? So, then, is it any wonder that only the lobbyist-driven legislative agenda gets through while everything goes to heck in a handbasket?
