John, I have followed Pipes from "day one" here.

And I have followed more of that than I should by reading your thread. Of course he recruited students. Asked them to take notes on faculty members, post those notes in prominent places, make lists, on the internet, of faculty members. And in contexts in which he was not simply doing it in some neutral fashion. But soliciting harassment. Foul stuff.

lies, libel, twisting and distorting to the absurd. JohmM is to truth as krugman. How many times has Pipes done analysis on Islamist who libel and slander him. It is not nonsense, it is dishonesty. Those bankrupt of ideas have nothing left but dishonesty.
