You can't, any more than you can know you aren't being cheated in Vegas or Monte Carlo. But if they are cheating online, they have to be cheating FOR somebody else at your table. And that person has to share the money with them and hide it from the auditor, stock exchange and regulator. If any online casino is ever caught cheating, they are toast forever. It's not like in Nevada where they simply fire a dealer and pretend they didn't know.

At the smaller sites, you end up playing mostly against the same people again and again. Since I am winning against those folks, I don't think the casino is cheating to help them, though I could be wrong. Even on sites as large as PokerRoom and Paradise, you run into the usual suspects a lot. At sites like Noble and London, an unfamiliar name at your table is cause for celebration, as it's like new meat for the sharks.

At a site like PartyPoker/Empire, it is like playing in a large city and you rarely run into the same folks. (I do run into a lot of the same people at Omaha, but that's because so few play the game).

My main criterion is that I'm winning, and I'm winning more since I've improved my game.

If you read the comments on WWW.HomePoker.com, many, many players think they were cheated and some think that robots are playing. Others think that hackers have cracked the code at various sites. So, it is an opinion many hold. If so, I'm just glad that the crooks like me. <G>

Rod Stewart cancelled a concert because of cancer in 2000. Legitimate reason and I'm glad he is in remission. But he kept the $2 million fee. A wee bit questionable on that one.

Cassava Enterprises expected to go public in London next month. Cassava owns Pacific Poker and other online gambling operations. I will probably wait for PokerRoom or PokerStars, as Pacific has some problems. I play there, but it is the most clunky site I play at.

US loses again at WTO for our doofus ideas about online gambling: theregister.co.uk

Thanks to Tim Fowler for posting this for us. It brightened my weekend to know that Homeland Security will not be confiscating my mouse clicking thumb this weekend. <G>
