Any number of studies show a dramatic 90%+ liberal slant in Universities.

If you take your stand here, John, you are doing exactly what I'm criticizing, using Pipes methods to stifle free speech. Faculty members are proper objects of harassment, the argument goes, because so many of them are of a different political persuasion from me.

As for the 90% number, we would need to look at the data. Sometimes it's presidential voting, sometimes it's self identified political persuasion, god knows what it is.

Speech code is a left/liberal creation - not right wing and you are discussing the rights lack of tolerance?

Speech codes are about hate speech directed at distinct minorities. It's rather odd to see a defense of free speech focus on hate speech. Remember I'm not talking about constitutionally protected rights. Just the right of a university to encourage (and teach) civility among its members.

. . . but how would you feel about University profs discussing the need to rid the world of Arabs? You seem to tolerate anti-semitism quite well.

Lord, where did that one come from? You are a better poster than that. And we've had better conversations than that.
