I used to engage my parents in intense discussions about the nature of duties I must perform to earn my allowance and what expenditures were part of their responsibility. It seemed that if I were with them at the time, they paid for everything. If I were with my friends or alone, I had to pay. It turned me into a loner and a mama's boy who visits his parents on rent day. <G>
