Remember that this was BEFORE 9/11. Let me ask you moron, when you've got some hot intel that bin Laden is in a certain location, what's more likely to take him out, a cruise missile that arrives in minutes or a commando raid that may take days to logistically put together? Do you think bin Laden's going to hang around for the commdandos? Pre 9/11, Clinton was much more on bin Laden's ass than Bush was after getting selected. Bush seemed to blow the whole Al Quaida thing off as a silly Clinton obsession and take another nap in Crawford. Until the chimp let 9/11 happen that is...

Bush couldn't have cared less about Bin Laden, otherwise if he had been serious, he would have sent US troops after him. Instead, he held back the US troops from Tora Bora and sent some Northern Alliance fighters who were bought out by bin Laden.

Anyway, it doesn't matter that much now since subsequent to that, the son of a Bush got us trapped in a much bigger mess, in Iraq.
