How is your current analogy related to your original post that Gates was "lucky"?

Everyone does benefit from prosperity. It's call "taxes".

Maybe you're taking an exception and seeing it as the trend?

Z, An economics textbook I read not long ago cited a study where eight practiced stockbrokers made predictions over a period of time, and there was a competition to see whose basket of stocks did the best. The twist here, is that a trained monkey was the ninth stockbroker, and finished somewhere in the middle.

So stock analysts are overpaid for their B.S. I could have told you that.
