Aug/Sept/Oct/Nov, as you can see in the above chart, has been an exceedingly strong AMD phase in each of the past 2 years.

You were fair enough to show 2002 when within the same 2H period there was a steep plunge in the stock price and the period overall did not fit the 2H upwards pattern of the following two years which you hope to see repeated this year.

I think the case for strong growth in AMD CPU revenues in the next two quarters is very sound. The question is how much of that anticipated growth is already in the share price and how vulnerable the price may be to broader market movements.

Then there is the question of flash. There are tidbits of information which suggest that the loss may be less this quarter but it is far from certain. The deterioration in flash prices last year was sudden and swift and came after a very bullish AMD presentation in November.

Can anyone with Userlevel>>11 find the most recent "AMD seasonality" post I made here, probably in November or December? I just can't find it & the search function only goes back to beginning of year unless you are > userlevel=11.

I can probably find the spreadsheet I used to create it next week sometime.
