I'd advocate Ted paying more taxes than you do.

Surely, Ted as a socialist does not need to wait for the government to take part of his income and redistribute it to lower income individuals. I am sure Ted is already doing it on his own.

It is you who is only "advocating". this is something very simple you can start doing today. I think a power of example is much more powerful than "advocating".
