I think I have as good an idea of what Iraq is as you do, and I'm quite sure that reading a variety of articles in the world press gives me as accurate an understanding as talking to an American soldier. Each American soldier only sees what is immediately around him, and they are severely brainwashed once they join up, and a few of them are violent thugs, and an increasing number of them also question our mission in Iraq. So can you explain to me how talking to a soldier would open a whole new world of understanding for me re the situation in Iraq?

This is what you said in the post you wrote at the time. As I pointed out to you in the last post where we discussed this, the things you claim we achieved we in fact did not. So your comments never rise above the level of meaningless. You are talking about a fantasy that did not exist, in terms of how you describe the situation in Iraq:

We've done what we can for them. We've treated their sick, built schools and hospitals, put out their oil fires, freed the oppressed, fixed their bridges, opened their markets, trained their police and military, established a temporary government and set up their elections. Our job is done. It is time for Iraqis to fend for themselves.
