MIDWAY DISCOVERS NEW GOLD AT SPRING VALLEY PROJECT.

Midway Gold Corp.'s drilling has encountered a new gold zone hosted in quartz stockwork veins within altered feldspar porphyry intrusive. Preliminary assays from hole SV04-66 identified a zone of 320 feet of 0.03 ounce per ton gold (97.5 metres of 1.03 grams per tonne gold). The hole was angled at minus 70 degrees and the interval was from 500 to 820 feet. The hole was abandoned at 820 feet in mineralization due to drilling complications. Additional testing of this interval using a coarse gold sampling procedure is under way and could potentially identify higher values of gold. Coarse gold is common at the Spring Valley project. This hole lies north of the Pond zone, where 40 of 56 holes have intercepted gold values in excess of 10 feet of 0.01 ounce per ton gold; the best hole in the Pond zone was SV-30, which encountered 215 feet of 0.137 ounce per ton gold (65.4 metres of 4.69 grams per tonne gold) in a volcanic breccia, tuff and rhyolite flow. Hole SV04-66 lies 500 feet north of the Pond vent complex and opens up a large potential for the project.

IT will be very interesting to see the grades of Midways holes in the next week or two with the ones that have gold showing. These holes could be bonanza holes and could put MDW on the screen of all major gold companies in NA.The company is trying to drill off as many holes with 4 rigs working ASAP to deliver as many holes before a take over could be launched. It would not be out of the question to see the stock over C$2.00 this week IMO.Those holes put on this post this weekend are outstanding indications that we are seeing a very large deposit developing very fast here.I have been told that a target is being put on MDW at C$ 15.00 in Sept by some one close to the company. This stock has all the makings of a Arequipia. For those that never heard of AQP it was in 1996 the stock was C$ 2.00 six months later the stock was C$31.00 on a take over by Barrick.Always do your own DD. But IMO this will be a company making deposit. James
