"Now if this guy can get elected governor of TX"

The Kinkster appeals to a lot of Texans. And there is a lot of discontent with the way things are going in this state. Besides, Texans have a long history of voting for someone just because they like them, despite their policies. There wasn't any real discontent with Ann Richards when Dubya got elected. The state treasurer for many years was a man by the name of Jesse James...

Interesting. However, I sense a seriousness of purpose underneath the TX humor. Things are not good and many of us including a lot of Texans are desperate to get people who are willing to do the right thing and not sell out. If there are enough Texans to get Friedman elected in a state that gave us GW Bush, then there is hope that this country's downward spiral can be stopped.
