Yes, Iraq is also the site of the oldest known writings. They had scribes who used to write on clay thingies. (Not tablets, more like flat loaves of unleavened bread.) Iraq is the site of the first known agriculture. It was sad to see the country destroyed to feed the ego of a little man.
