"That's the only reason it's one country now" (Kurds of Iraqi neighbors).

The real reason of a "federalist Iraq" is that it would be easier to manipulate, divide and conquer..

Both for Iran and USA.

Israel would like that very much...

Note, "Saddam" was the "pan-arabic messiah", who resisted both communists, monarchs, USA and the post-Shah Iranian Ayatollahs (and the British BP in Kuwait).

That is why the dream of "dividing the Iraqi oil fields" were so important for the AEI..

Now it is Iran who might sit on something just a little tiny bit from an assembled nuclear weapon... (if the Korean talks are 6-party-talks, what will those talks be like??)

Pakistan-India cooled down when they got nuclear, maybe the middle east will too??
(one should remember that the India-Pakistan surprise attack using air-force was the insipiration of the 1967 ME-war)
