amazing.. it's a follow the leader type thing. Jack Welch came out with some interesting management ideas and other corporations jumped on them. I expect these groups started in one corporation and based on some experience they expanded to all industries and gov.

It was stonewalled for two years and has yet to acquire the benefits enjoyed by the others.

I set up that program in the agency where I last worked. (The legal issues are more complicated than one might think.) Everyone was on pins and needles about who might apply. There was some talk of a incipient Wiccan group making everyone nervous. Never happened, though. <g>

Re Christian groups, prior to all this I had occasion to investigate a Christian group that had formed informally at one of the agency outposts. The other staff there referred to it as "the cult." It was a serious problem because key senior staff were part of it and they appeared to be implementing their religious notion of barefoot/pregnant/kitchen when it came to hires, assignments and promotions, which is, of course, illegal. The work environment was hostile and morale was poor. FWIW, the other groups, the formal ones, seemed to do their thing during their meetings and then professionally leave it at the conference room door. Not that a Christian group couldn't do that if they were so inclined, but this one wasn't.
