Logic would say support for Bush would crater, since he keeps promising, "We're fighting them over there to keep us safe over here." But,logic goes out the window when you're attacked. Bush took advantage of it before, to invade Iraq. I think he'd take advantage of it again, to strike Iran, perhaps with a nuke, whether Iran bore any responsibility or not.

It's a pretty amazing phenomena. On the one hand, "logic" suggests that people would realize the central front in Iraq is and was a myth. But for the majority fear trumps logic every time.
