Japan was totally defeated in war and now they are a prosperous democratic country..... because they were DEFEATED...no deals just defeat and this is what is needed in the war against radical islam.... use any method required to stop them with a minimum loss or no loss of life on the side of the free world. I agree the loss of even one American life in support of any radical islam government anywhere is a sickening thought....and if you recall clinton fought on the side of radical islam in Kosovo.... big mistake.

I just heard on NBC news that women's rights are actually going DOWN in Iraq since Saddam. This iraq mess that Bush started is too much. Most US wars are a bit of a conundrum, like Vietnam, where one person does not start them but there is a series of decisions that end up taking the country to war. Not Iraq, this was Bush's mess and his alone. There is no good that has come of it, people are worse off and thousands of people have died for nothing.
