Yeah, I know what you are trying to say. But what you are talking about a) doesn't apply to Texas and b) if you look up gerrymandering you will find the name dates back to 1812 when the Republicans redrew districts to cut out the Federalists in Massachusetts.

Ironically, Elbridge Gerry, whom the practice was named after, opposed its use. Got blamed for it anyway.
