"If I have to sacrifice my whole family for the sake of our country and world, other countries that want freedom, I'll do that," said the soldier's father, Gary Qualls, a friend of the local business owner who started the pro-Bush camp. "

I'm not interested in sacrificing my kids (or even the rest of my family, not even the ones who are annoying) for "the world", and "other countries that want freedom". That's a rather odd thing to want to do, imo. I think most of the people I know believe in defending America, but defending the right of the Iraqi people to flip from Saddam to an Islamic religious government? Not only does that seem to be against American interests, but I've no desire to have my children die for anything like that. Far from that being a "have to"- it seems like a "we didn't need to" and an "it was stupid of us to". Not the kind of thing I think most parents want their kids dying for- except for Mr. Qualls, of course.

There is a pro Iraq war counter rally though. This link was provided by some guy on the clown free thread..

That doesn't surprise me. Seventy five percent of all Republicans still support Bush. Fortunately, that's only a third of the electorate. They are quickly becoming a smaller and smaller minority. One might suggest that the GOP had better make some changes, or it will not be the national party it so badly wants to be.
