That's a familiar name -

The judge has said she'll fine the Houston firm O'Quinn, Laminack & Pirtle, led by attorney John O'Quinn, which represents about 2,000 silicosis plaintiffs. It's likely more firms will get punished.

Federal prosecutors in Manhattan have launched an investigation to see whether crimes were committed, whether by lawyers or doctors or screeners, according to court documents

The blame-it-all-on-someone-other-than-the-company crowd has been touting that O'Quinn Laminack have all the money they need and just take on cases now for the good of civilization. This lawsuit shows, as we all know, it's always about the money. I'm sure in O'Quinn's mind that everyone who ever had a share not delivered was entitled to millions. It's not at all that I don't believe in added tranparancy in the markets; I do. It's that this whole notion of a vast conspiracy orchestrated by a Sith Lord which, by definition, includes anyone who doesn't buy into the idea hook line and sinker, is insane.

I've seen the names of some of the busted lawyers before: wasn't it claimed O'Quinn was involved with Medinah Minerals (or Mining or Menstruating or whatever it is they're calling themselves this week) and the alleged massive naked short position?

What a crook.

What a surprise.

Not.
