I feel fairly confident that (at least parts) of the article were mere fancy, as yet apparently unsupported by objective facts. For example: attempting to tie 'Able Danger', about which very little is known, to Atta... and then to the known drug-running at the same airport at which Atta was 'training'.... The only thing that seems beyond question is that the terrorist flight training and the heroin running were occurring at the same airport (owned by the same operators) and at the same general time. That could certainly merely be coincidental, after all. I made my personal opinions (distinct from the opinions of the article's author) clear in subsequent postings... when people actually got around to asking for my opinions: Message 21614374 siliconinvestor.com I'm sure, JL, that you were not objecting to any of the publicly acknowledged facts surrounding the operation of the airport and flight school... for example that Wally Hilliard's Lear jet flew "milk runs" down and back to Venezuela every week for 39 weeks in a row, was paid in cash for the trips, before finally being busted by the DEA at Orlando airport with 43 pounds of heroin aboard --- in July 2000, the same month Mohammed Atta and his bodyguard Marwan Al-Shehhi began flying lessons at Huffman Aviation --- a drug bust the Orlando Sentinel called “the biggest drug seizure in central Florida history”. No, I'm sure your objections likely related to the highly speculative and fanciful parts of the article... wherein the author speculated that the above known events somehow showed that Able Danger was 'on to' Atta (as has lately been alleged publicly by one former member of the unit), and was frozen out (a speculation I can find no hard evidence for in the article), or that Sibel Edmonds' warnings, (FBI whistleblower), who alleged that the US State Department blocked investigations showing links between criminal drug trafficking networks and the terror attacks on 9/11, were somehow directly tied in to the going-ons at Huffman Aviation... (another speculative leap that I can find no evidence for in the article).
