Vietnam was the military industrial complex proving grounds.... Gotta spend them bombs!!! New budget is coming up and we need this expensive hardware. If it sits around too long then we will lose the budget! Lets go to some small place and make some noise! It will be fun and very profitable. And I promise your kids won't have to go. Don't worry about it! They're safe! Great to be in command! ps: i am thoroughly disgusted with the entire mess.
