Yes, an economist on CNBC the other day said the true unemployment rate in the US is likely 10-12% - approx. the same as the Eurozone.

We just don't count the same way.

Anyone unemployed over 6 months here drops from the rolls.

Of course, even the higher figures don't count the massive UNDEREMPLOYMENT going on in the US right now - due to 3 million manufacturing jobs lost in the last 4 years, huge
white collar corporate downsizing since 2000, and offshoring and outsourcing.
