Thanks, I'll take a look. Now I am using XP firewall, my system seems to be running much slower on many programs, like start up and down... Where can I find write up about XP firewall's potential problems?

Jochen, I've read only good things about Kerio. If ZA gets too complex for my taste, I'll give it a try. Setting up your firewall properly is as important as having one in the first place. I'd like to be able to recommend something simpler to set up for novices than ZA. Have you run ZA as well for comparison purposes? Esteban
