There is reason to dislike both major American political parties. Two sides of the same rotten coin that constantly egnages us in wars for profit and neglects the domestic agenda. What is there to like?

I do think we have a better chance under the Democrats to achieve a semblance of social justice and a domestic focused economic policy. Clinton tepidly pushed us in that direction. It is unclear if we'd be in Afghanastand and Iraq under a Gore or Kerry Adminstration?!? I'll take my chances with the Democrats as the Republicans are proven liars and have no interest in investing in America. They're way too internationally focused for my liking.

Since both parties are controlled by wealthy elites, there isn't much hope for an agenda that serves the common man coming from these quarters. The best thing an average citizen can do is support alternatives to the current economic structure, like atlernative energy and organic food. This will ultimately challenge the corporate power structure in America and cause a change from the bottom up.
