Do we count unemployed illegals? There are fewer illegal aliens in Europe because immigrants there fall into the system, wherease here they fall through the system. So I wonder if there were an accurate accounting, one that reflects the true reality of society, what it would show. Anyway, friends and associates I know who have moved to Europe and taken up EU citizenship are doing quite well for themselves. It's very comforting not to have to worry about major medical expenses bankrupting you. Affordable higher education really does help the pocketbook when you have a large family to take care of. Putting three kids through college is tough on moms and dads, and impossible for most parents. Not so in Western Europe.
