Ted, Politicians must be held accountable for their actions. They already are. Your side lost the 2004 elections. There may be hope for you yet in 2006, but if you want to kill your chances once again, go right on ahead and support the draft. I don't have a side at the present time. If you haven't noticed, the Dems are aping your president. I am one of the disinfranchised ripe for the third party that CJ and JF talk about. By the way, you might want to be careful what you wish for. If the draft does get instituted, and your number pops up, will you go willingly, or will the MP drag you kicking and screaming into a war you never supported in the first place? I am over 30......they won't draft me. How old are you? Check it out with the ACLU........if his comments were racist, they will take it on. What for? I'm just one guy, and so is JF. Why should the ACLU get involved over a petty Internet flame war between two individuals? They don't have to get involved. You were suggesting that JF's comments were racist. I am not sure that's true. The best way to resolve that issue is asking an attorney without incurring costs. Hence, my suggestion of the ACLU. It's enough for me just to highlight JF's own words and his attempt to weasel his way out of them. I'll let everyone else decide for themselves whether JF was out-of-line for saying it, or whether I'm out-of-line for bringing it up. You are.........if for no other reason than you keep bringing it up periodically so you can hit him again with it ala Harris. People use that approach mainly in marriages when they don't have reasonable ammunition and support for their positions. Hence they bring up old stuff that might do the trick for them. Given JF's current reaction, I think you've overdone its effectiveness..........even with the intercession of Amy. ted
