Did know it when my prior post was written. But it was a

good guide to putting news received only a few hours later bout an hour later, in the biggest picture perspective. It's one reason I've not posted anything else till now:

Just found out one of oldest friends, has cancer of the liver and colon.

Not seen Jere since the mid-1970s. Used to do a lot of guitar and other musical stuff together in the 60s. He's a very talented artist AWA musician. Great sardonic, completely irreverent wit.<g>

His painting, drawing style is completely his own. But, reminds me more than a little of Whistler. So, you get the idea. Awesome...

He's the guy who introduced my to Dylan's music back in 1963 when Dylan was almost unknown. In a truly extraordinary turn of fate, only days later, we just happened to be in an almost empty Gaslight Cafe (NYC), at their Tuesday open mike. And, in in walks Bob Dylan!!

Only 10 people lazing around an almost empty Gaslight. He borrows Dave Van Ronk's monster J-200 Gibson, sat down at the mike and played probably the greatest solo set I've ever witnessed.

Point blank range. We were sitting at the center table, 10 ft in front of him!

Blew the top o' me head off. Words cannot even come close...

Logged off for the day. Sorry I've not been around to respond to all the msgs posted to me.

When you get too concerned about whether your stocks R up or down? It's well worth repeating the gist of my previous post:

<We're all just passing thru this life...>

Enjoy.
