If this virus keeps spreading as it currently is... then by fall (as it moves into Europe & perhaps the US) it's going to be one heck of a political topic. For example: what's the government doing to guarantee adequate drug supply for our people? How's the vaccine development effort going? Will there be runs on drugstores as flu season approaches? If worst comes to worst (& the bird flu combines with a human flu strain, and becomes better adapted to human-to-human transmission), will there be restrictions on air travel, etc.?
