When the Supreme Court rules, "mortgage deductions are not guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution" the same people who complained about the Kelo Eminent Domain decision, will complain that mortgage deductions were clearly intended by the Founding Fathers. What these people really want are activist judges who will interpret special real estate rights into the U.S. Constitution which are not actually found there. Judges who follow a strict legal interpretation are their worst nightmare. .

When I was renting, it made no sense to me that people richer than me got to deduct most of their housing expense - it seemed very regressive and unfair. not fair ? what's wrong with you ? if YOU work and have a reward for your work is it NOT FAIR NOT HAVING TO SHARE YOUR WORK... particularly with people who are morons when it comes to managing money... such as politicians, bureaucrats, and derelicts ? what is this... all of a sudden we are in the... U.S..........S.R. ? wow... guilty feelings obfuscating simple logic? (i.e. all of a sudden paying taxes is ... what ? a right ? rather an encumbrance that is needed because all the idiots who supposedly manage the tax revenue waste said resources and one MUST be punished due to one's own success....) wow.... perhaps it is time to start preparing the escape hatch, before all this rubbish become more real.... i cannot believe what i am writing.... worse.... i cannot believe what i am reading.... pitiful...
