I've implemented (5 minutes ago) what I hope is a fix for the problem of public messages from ignored people landing in your inbox. Dave will test it later by messaging me.

Dave, knock yourself out and let me know via messenger when you've done so.

And if it's still working and nothing in Preview has broken (it's not the house of cards here it is on iHub), we need to kill those two "test" procs that were being used. I don't like having dead code laying around. We can move them to another db if you'd just as soon keep dead code available somewhere else.

Edit: Note that it doesn't take into account the recipients current Ignore On/Off toggle. If they're on your ignore list but you've got ignore toggled off, their public messages won't hit your inbox. But toggling it back on (I'm working on putting those links where needed), will allow those messages to appear in all other pages, including readmsg, readmsgs, readreplies, and subject.
