i think most conglomerates should be sold. i think they become vulnerable in a wider economic downturn.. vulnerable to the point where perhaps those rosy dividends become miniscule, or non-existent.. the least adept have already seen such circumstances. it's the sort of macro thinking you yourself employed years ago as a buyer, and if you look another 20 years further down the road, the big-cap-failure concept doesn't seem so far-fetched. do you own any gillette? finance.yahoo.com
