This could stop attacks on Israel by Hamas. Eygpt has no more use for Hamas than Israel does.

You kidding? Egypt has always gotten great mileage off the sufferings of the poor Pals, and cheered on the suicide bombers of Hamas. Egypt's only condition is that they stay pointed at Israel, which Hamas has always been smart enough to do. Al Qaeda is another story. So actually I expect that Hamas will work hard to keep Al Qaeda out of Gaza, for its own sake.

This sounds like a logical thing to happen. The Eygptians take over. This could stop attacks on Israel by Hamas. Eygpt has no more use for Hamas than Israel does.

With the still rapidly growing population of Cairo approaching 20 million, I don't see why Egypt doesn't already have more problems.
