Either you have zero comprehension of the stakes for America in World War II,

The stakes in the Pacific theater were high.

The stakes for England, France, Russia, Poland, and the rest of Europe in WWII were very high. But for us, nope. We had little economic interest there. If Germany had conquered all of Europe we probably could have made peace with them and had a good economic relationship. Don't forget, there were many first and second generation Germans in America who were very conflicted about our being at war with their homeland.

there sure are a lot of Iraqis saying things were better under Saddam in general than they are now.

There were many Germans saying that things were better under Hitler than in the first few years after the war. And they were right. Ditto for Japan. Ditto for Italy. Ditto for almost any country which has lost a war. Your point?
