Voluntary compliance? Oh, the same thing that Bush is trying with environmental degradation/global warming! Yeah, that sounds like it will work (not)! The demise of unions in America is very directly related to the demise of health insurance benefits, and generally the loss of real income in the middle classes--no gains in the last 27 years. I sure hope unions are on their way back, because not all corporations are kind to their workers. And there is just absolutely no justification at all for the salaries corporate heads make. As these have gone up, real income for working people has come down. I'm sure you think that is all very lovely, but I hope there's a revolution or something . . .
