The towers were attacked 9 months into Bush's term. The terrorists knew well that Clinton had them on the run. But when the new President slacked off and was vacationing (8 long weeks), the terrorists got to work in planning the attack. Let us not talk about "ifs and buts" as you do. Let us talk facts. The country slacked off after Bush took office. Airport security breach where 20 hijackers got through is vastly bigger than two people who took a car loaded with bombs into a public parking lot in the WTC in 1993. Stop such foolish comparisons. Terrorists did not strike within our shores during Clinton's Presidency.
