Ted, thanks for the links. My guess is that growth might spill over into Riverside County, if my improvised crystal ball is functioning.

That's probably part of it.

But then there is another possibility.......after I posted, I compared the OC with other cities, and found that its recent job growth compares well..........the OC was ranked 35th last year out of a rough total of 300 metro areas. I had forgotten that job growth has been weak in this recovery and that's why the recent OC totals are down from the the 1990s. That's true of other metro areas as well.
