Re: Misuse and/or ill advised use of armies doesn't help either. And I'd like to leave it at that.

I agree. But if you think keeping the status quo in the middle east was, or is, in our national interest, then let's just say you and I disagree.

This country did absolutely nothing to deserve getting bombed in WTC1, WTC2, or the myriad other terrorist hits we have taken. Not going after the source is certainly not a recipe for success.

The recent days and months have been ugly in Iraq; I openly admit this. And the corruption of the Iraqis is rampant....how soon they can have a country up and running is anyones guess. I have a close relative over there as we speak training the new Iraqi forces. The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step....the reform of the ugly middle east may not be pretty now, but it is also a necessary step for all of civilization, lest we are all drawn back into the 9th Century.

But anyone who treats our troops with disdain, doing important work working in 130 degree heat, will feel my wrath. I am sick and tired of so many on the left claiming they "support" our troops and at the same time putting them down. You simply cannot have it both ways.

People can disagree on politics, but not on our brothers and sisters serving in near impossible conditions.
