An important point in CJ's account that I meant to checkin with him.......when he says "a coup attempt by a popular leader", I think he meant to say "a coup attempt of a popular leader". It may sound like knitpicking but its not..........Chavez is very popular in Venezuela among the poor and middle classes. Its only among the wealthy he is not liked. That's why Venezuelans are so quick to take his side against the US.
